Class Descriptions
Ashtanga Mysore
The traditional method for learning the Ashtanga practice. During Mysore, students of all levels practice at their own pace and the instructor helps with the postures by means of hands on adjustments while reminding students of sequencing. A Mysore practice is developed slowly over time so that the student is able to memorize sequencing and the body is able to adapt to the postures. A common misconception about the Mysore practice is that you need to know the Primary Series to attend. Appropriate for all levels.
Boomer Yoga
A dynamic approach to yoga practice, created for athletic people, ie golfers to gardeners in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who are active, vital, and adventuresome. Props and variations of postures combined with simple breathing and meditation techniques to help combat the negative effects of aging, and stress will be emphasized. Maintaining peace of mind and equipoise in your daily life can help you to be more joyful, compassionate, and content with the changes that life brings. Appropriate for all levels.

This 90 minute class will be a combination of the first and second series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga system. Modifications will be offered to help this practice be assessable to all. Bring a towel, water and be prepared to sweat. For fit beginners and experienced practitioners.
